Bags and baskets made of Halfa, a plant that grows irregularly on the edges of the river, are crafted with care. Halfa is considered an obstacle to agriculture and is therefore permanently disposed of. The ropes used in these creations are carefully braided and assembled, forming the main material. Leather or colored cotton threads are also incorporated, enhancing the aesthetic appeal. The bags and baskets are further enriched with embroidered drawings and decorations, inspired by the fronds of the Oasis heritage.
