Marjouna Halfa Braided

Marjouna, made from the Halfa plant, is a product crafted from a plant that emerges irregularly on the river edges. It is one of the plants that is permanently disposed of due to its interference with agriculture. Marjouna is manufactured by braiding Halfa stems into ropes, which are then assembled as the primary material. A cloth bag is incorporated for the interior, and in some designs, embroidered threads are used to create drawings and motifs inspired by the Egyptian oasis heritage, all in a contemporary style.
